Live Copepods
Live Copepod Cultures
Bring your reef to life with thriving zooplankton biodiversity.
Our AquaHaus Live Copepods are sustainably cultured in clean saltwater and fed a balanced diet of live phytoplankton to ensure peak nutrition, vitality, and reproductive success. Each species plays a unique role in maintaining a healthy, dynamic reef ecosystem — from feeding finicky fish and coral larvae to controlling detritus and enhancing biological stability.
We never dilute or add preservatives—just pure, living copepods harvested fresh from active cultures. Whether you’re starting a new reef, enriching your refugium, or establishing a self-sustaining microfauna population, AquaHaus pods are the perfect foundation for long-term reef balance and natural feeding cycles.
Available Species
-
Tisbe biminiensis – Benthic pod that thrives on glass and rock surfaces. Ideal for refugia and continuous in-tank populations; reproduces rapidly and hides from predators.
-
Apocyclops panamensis – Versatile mid-water swimmer and substrate grazer. Excellent for coral and fry feeding; fast-reproducing and tolerant of variable salinity.
-
Tigriopus californicus – Nutrient-dense red pod high in lipids and carotenoids. Perfect for enriching fish and coral diets; thrives in stable, mature systems.
Usage Tip
Seed directly into your reef tank, refugium, or culture system. For sustained growth, dose live phytoplankton (Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, or T-Iso) every few days to maintain healthy population density.
